This is a talking point more so because this comes after their alleged break up. Their first film together, Aashiqui 2 was a blockbuster and nothing short of a superhit is expected from this film. While we have to wait for January 13 , 2017 to know if they’ll be able re-create the magic of Aashiqui 2 and if they’ll join the likes of other Bollywood couples who delivered a success after they broke up with each other. Ranveer Singh – Anushka Sharma

Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma started dating when the actor made his debut with Band Baaja Baraat. Though the couple never accepted their relation publicly, it was always an obvious fact. However destiny had something else in store for them. They parted ways after dating for a year or so and the reason was Anushka’s insecurity over Deepika and Ranveer’s growing fondness. The actress finally took the bold step and the couple drifted apart. However Zoya Akhtar was successful in bringing them back together as a couple with Dil Dhadakne Do and didn’t we just love in the movie? This doesn’t end here. The couple even shared some steamy scenes for the movie and the fact that they didn’t hesitate while filming them proves that the actor’s keep their work and professional commitment above anything.  Ranveer has also been extremely open on how he still misses her and the break up did shatter his world for quite a lot amount of time.

Movie: Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
The duo started dating while they both were just a movie old in the industry and their relationship soon became the hot topic in the industry. The relationship was so intense that DP even got his initials RK tattooed on the nape of her neck which she openly flaunted. After starring in hit movie like Bachna Ae Haseeno, the reports about them parting ways started surfacing. Many stories suggest that it was Katrina and Ranbir’s fascination for her which proved as a hurdle in this relation. Later on RK Jr even confirmed that he did cheat on Deepika and he regrets it. However the actress was way beyond all this drama and instead of focusing her attention towards Ranbir, she decided to let her career do all the talking. So when Ayan Mukherjee offered her role opposite RK in Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani , she didn’t hesitate to take it up and the movie was one of the top hits that year. This movie starring the ex couple was much anticipated for two reasons. First was obviously sin ce the couple was coming together after their break up and secondly the plot was interesting and DP and RK both looked adorable on screen.  Its total collection was Rs 309 crores worldwide.
Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif

Movie: Ek Tha Tiger
Salman and Katrina dated for the longest time in the industry and if we are to speak the truth, it was the actor’s name  that gave Katrina her movies. It was post Maine Pyaar Kyu Kia that the director started taking her seriously and she ended up bagging projects like Namastey London and Rajneeti. The same projects that earned her a permanent place in the industry. However things took a different turn and the couple soon parted their ways. Katrina started dating her co star Ranbir Kapoor while Salman was occupied in his movies until Iulia came in his life. However the actor who is known for his temperament never lost his cool on Katrina and even recommended her for his movie Ek Tha Tiger directed by Kabir Khan.

The fate of this movie was already decided. Salman Khan coming together with his ex girlfriend Katrina Kaif had to pull audience to the theatres and the result was as expected. The movie went on to become one of the highest grosser that year. The movie’s total collection was around Rs 319 crores worldwide and the numbers speak for themselves.
Shahid Kapoor-Kareena Kapoor

Movie: Jab We Met
Shahid and Kareena were one of our favourite couple in B town industry at the time they dated. This couple has even share the screen for a number of times including Fida, Chup Chup Ke, Jab We Met and Milenge Milenge. The couple who dated for three and half years suddenly were in news for all the wrong reasons. While Shahid was leaving for Canada to shoot Kismat Konnection with Vidya Balan, the couple was almost on the verge of their beak up. Though we don’t know the real reason behind them taking such a big step, it did upset one and all. Reports even suggest that their break up ended on an ugly note. Jab We Met which released just after their split was an instant hit and we still remember their chemistry in the movie. Unlike any other ex couples, Shahid and Kareena have decided to not sign a single movie together and the reason why we saw them in Udta Punjab was because they don’t share a single scene in the movie. Point here is the duo didn’t let their personal grudge affect the professional life. Looking at Jab We Met, no one could dare ask if they had actually broken up or was that just a rumour? The movie was successful but the relation faded forever.

Jab We Met released in the year 2007 and during these years, even if the movie earned around Rs 30 crores, it was considered as a huge number. As a result when Jab We Met collected around Rs 32.5 crores, it was a big number and more than the figures, it was the popularity that won the hearts of the masses which should matter. The movie had good word of mouth and that’s how it achieved it’s popularity. People still remember Bebo for this role and we should thank Imtiaz Ali for this.
