Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are in the actress' native place to ring in the New Year
Sultan actress Anushka Sharma will be celebrating the New Year with boyfriend Virat Kohli in
Uttarakhand. It will be a totally family affair with the actress’
family. An Army girl, Anushka has grown up in Bangalore but her mom is
from Garhwal, which is in Uttarakhand. The actress has spent most of her
vacations in Dehradun, where they have a family home. Anushka’s mom Ashima is a Garhwali and she is quite attached to her state.
The couple arrived there over the weekend and reportedly took off to Narendernagar in Tehri, where the actress’ parents had already reached prior to them. The cricketer has a 25-day break and spending quality time with his lady love’s family seems to be on the priority list. Virat is also the brand ambassador of the state of Uttarakhand and this is his first visit post his appointment as the ambassador in April. It seems Virat’s mom, Saroj will also ring in New Year’s Eve with the happy couple. The chief minister of Uttarakhand, Harish Rawat also welcomed the celebrity couple with a tweet saying that he hoped they had a nice time in the state. It was a great opportunity to promote tourism in Uttarakhand, which is also known as Dev Bhoomi.
Anushka and Virat have had a spectacular year professionally. The actress got two blockbusters under her belt with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Sultan. Virat had a very gruelling year as well. He led India to four consecutive wins in Test Series and also scored three double centuries this year. Virat is the only Indian batsman to do so.
