Katrina Kaif wanted to tie RAKHI on Akshay Kumar’s wrist, when shooting for Sheila Ki Jawaani
Katrina Kaif makes a funny revelation on Koffee with Karan
Katrina Kaif came as a guest on the last episode of Koffee with Karan. She was accompanied by Anushka Sharma,
but she might as well have come alone. We have never seen Katrina be so
chilled out. What was supposed to be a gossip session, turned into
suggestion box for the next season of KWK. From pointing out the flaws
in the show to the sets of the show, Katrina did
it all. The two actresses dissected each and every question thrown at
them. And yet some very interesting details of their lives slipped
despite their controlled demeanour.
KWK is the best platform to hear fun stories about the lives of our favourite celebs. Katrina too told a few stories from her time in Bollywood, and this one is gold. Katrina wanted to make Akshay Kumar her rakhi brother. YES! So, here is how this story goes, in Katrina’s own words-
“I am hearing about it – everyone getting their rakhi tied. Let me tell you what day it is – I am shooting for Sheila Ki Jawani which is a song in Tees Maar Khan. I am wearing my gold choli and sitting on set, why won’t anyone tie me rakhi – I am doing like that. Nobody is there, nobody is really paying attention to me and who do I see walking through the door? A person I have great regard for. A person I consider a dear friend, and according to me I don’t see anything wrong with it so I ask him, “Can I tie you rakhi?” and Akshay Kumar says, “Do you want a slap?””
Even Karan Johar had to ask again to confirm if it indeed was Akshay Kumar whom Katrina asked to tie a rakhi. And Katrina repeated the last bit of conversation. Now that is some other level brother-zoning happening and that on the sets of Sheila ki Jawaani.
After rejected by Akshay as a rakhi sister, Katrina moved to Arjun Kapoor. Yep! She offered to tie him a rakhi too. But the actor ran for his life upon hearing the request. Though that didn’t stop Katrina from calling him her ‘rakhi brother’.
Katrina and Anushka got to talking about Varun Dhawan. Which led to Katrina revealing the fact that when they were younger – Katrina was just 17 – Varun started a “I hate Katrina” club which was joined by Arjun Kapoor. Katrina knew why Varun was part of the club, but had no clue why Arjun was.
