Why didn’t Shah Rukh Khan attend Salman Khan’s 51st birthday bash ?
Salman Khan had personally invited Shah Rukh Khan to his birthday party
Although the venue of Salman Khan‘s
51st birthday bash was his usual Panvel farmhouse, it was expected to
be a lot different from his last celebrations. It was being said that
unlike previous years, which had people gate-crashing to the event, this
one was going to be a grand affair with the biggest of celebrities on
the guest list. We heard that Salman had personally invited Shah Rukh Khan to join in the celebrations. But an insider informs that SRK didn’t make it to the party.
While it’s quite convenient to assume that he skipped the event to avoid meeting Priyanka Chopra, who too was invited, we should not forget that SRK was not in Mumbai today. The superstar was in Hyderabad to attend the sixth convocation ceremony of Maulana Azad National Urdu University. Chancellor Zafar Sareshwala conferred the ‘honoris causa’ (doctor of letters) on SRK today for his contribution towards promotion of Urdu culture. So quite evidently it was not possible for Shah Rukh to attend the party after such a long day. And we are sure even Salman would understand this.
The guests who attended the party are Sangeeta Bijlani, Bina Kak, Daisy Shah, Iulia Vantur, Ashley Rebello, Shweta Rohira, Kavita Bhasin, Nirvan Khan and others. Sangeeta and Salman, who were in a relationship at one point of time, are good friends. Bina is a close family friend of the Khan family. She played Salman’s mother in the hit romantic comedy Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya. Daisy,as we all know, has worked with Salman in Jai Ho. Iulia and Salman are rumored to be dating each other. Ashley is Salman’s designer.
