Rajinikanth to start dubbing for 2.0
Superstar Rajinikanth will start dubbing for his portion in upcoming Tamil science-fiction action thriller "2.o" from Monday.
Superstar Rajinikanth will start dubbing for his portion in upcoming Tamil science-fiction action thriller “2.o” from Monday.
The film, which is being made on a budget of Rs. 400 crore, is a sequel
to his 2010 blockbuster “Enthiran”. “En route Chennai to start the
dubbing with our very own Rajinikanth for ‘2.o’,” Oscar-winning sound
designer Resul Pookutty wrote on his Twitter page on Monday.
Earlier the film’s set was destroyed by the recent Cyclone Vardah that wreaked havoc in Chennai. A source had revealed that, “The team had erected a set at a popular IT park in Ambattur where several films have been shot before. An office of the Artificial Intelligence Research Centre was created there. Even a military vehicle was seen near by. The shooting happened as per schedule on Sunday, but the crew had to quickly wrap and run on Monday when the wind picked up speed. The storm hit the shooting spot, leaving the set partially destroyed. This has forced the team to put a halt to the shooting mid way.”
The team tried hard to save the sets but it got partially destroyed due to the rain and wind. The crew of 2.O is now trying to reconstruct the sets and finish the scenes. Directed by Shankar, 2.O is the sequel to Enthiran. The film is supposed to release in Diwali next year. In the film, which is being directed by Shankar, Rajinikanth plays a scientist, and he will also be seen as Chitti robot. Also starring Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain, the film is being bankrolled by Lyca Productions.
