Hrithik Roshan surpasses Aamir Khan as the highest advance tax paying actor

Aamir Khan has paid Rs 72 crore as advance tax

Hrithik Roshan has paid Rs 80 crore as advance tax this quarter. The number was 50 crore last year for the same time. By doing so Hrithik Roshan has beaten Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan, and has become the highest advance tax paying actor. According to reports the actor has seen a jump of 1500 percent in his gross earnings when compared to last year. Whoa! 1500? That is quite a number. Hrithik is waiting for the release of his next film Kaabil, and we hope that churns out even more numbers at the box office this time.
Akshay Kumar was leading the list until 2015, but now has dropped to the fifth position amongst the highest paying tax payers. He has had three hit films this year – Airlift, Housefull 3, and Rustom.
Also, amongst the top six taxpayers Deepika Padukone is the only actress. We hope to see her ruling this list soon. And along with that even more women amongst the top payers.
While the figures regarding Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Amitabh Bachchan have not been revealed, Aamir Khan is at the second position by paying Rs 72 crore as advance tax. His earnings are going to increase with the release of his film Dangal. Ranbir Kapoor is the third highest advance tax paying actor with Rs 37 crore, as opposed to Rs 9 crore last year. Interestingly, he has beaten Salman Khan in the list, who is on the fourth position, with Rs 14 crore. Aamir has seen a rise of 112 percent in his earnings.
Advance tax is paid by individuals if the total tax liability on their estimated income is likely to exceed Rs 10,000 during the financial year.
