Dangal box office collection day 6: Aamir Khan’s film HITS the Rs 350 crore mark at the worldwide market

Aamir Khan‘s Dangal
has been a rage at the box office ever since it released on December
23. We have already revealed to you how well the movie is performing at
the domestic and overseas market. However, you will be surprised to learn that Dangal
has already raked in Rs 350 crore in 6 days! Yes, the movie has grossed
Rs 353.56 crore at the worldwide market already. We are sure you must
be confused, so let me make it simpler for you guys. At the domestic
market, Dangal has collected a massive amount of Rs 176.98
crore nett (Rs 251.31 crore gross) in 6 days. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh
gives us a proper break up of the collections through his tweet,
“#Dangal Fri 29.78 cr, Sat 34.82 cr, Sun 42.41 cr, Mon 25.69 cr, Tue
23.09 cr, Wed 21.20 cr. Total: Rs 176.98 cr. India biz. MIND-BOGGLING!”
Similarly, at the overseas market, Dangal has collected Rs 102.25 crore in 7 days (the movie released a day earlier in the international market). Taran gives us more information about the overseas collection through another tweet of his, “#Dangal crosses Rs 100 cr Overseas… Going strong… OVERSEAS – Till Wed: $ 15.01 million [₹ 102.25 cr]… Some screens yet to report.” So when you add the gross domestic collections (Rs 251.31 crore) to the gross overseas collections (Rs 102.25 crore), you get the gross worldwide collections, which is now Rs 353.36 crore. Considering that the movie was released in limited screens abroad, this is a quite a wonderful achievement in just 6 days.
The success of Dangal has to be given to the makers and the audience. People have not only loved the story, but also the powerful message that the film aims to give out. The audience have also been raving about the stunning performances given by Aamir Khan and his daughters in the movie – Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar. This positive word of mouth publicity and great reviews are giving the movie the push it needs. However, it remains to be seen if it can beat Sultan and P.K.‘s records.
