Taimur Ali Khan has been trending for the past two days for basically two very different reasons. The first time he was trending, it was born into this world, brought into existence by his uber rich parents, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. After all Kareena’s pregnancy has been making major headlines for the past few months, something not even her movies managed to do. The second reason why he was trending is because he was named Taimur Ali Khan. Little did the newborn tot know that his name would teach history to a lot of people who perhaps never heard of the fact that there used to be tyrant ruler by the same name. Suddenly, almost everyone in the world took offence to the name as if Saif and Kareena have named their children as Taimur.
The issue became so huge that even former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has to get down to Twitter and quell the uproar. He has tweeted, “The only people who get to decide a baby’s name are the parents of said baby & the ones they ask. Why should opinion of the rest matter? So congrats to Saif & Kareena and a long happy life to their baby son. May #TaimurAliKhan have a happy & healthy life…”
However there are idiots on Twitter who feel that naming a kid as Taimur is an insult to national integrity and is enough to brand both the parents as traitors, with some even demanding that they be banished from the country. Then there are other sick minds who are even cursing the child because two adults named him Taimur.
While the parents have not reacted to the situation yet, we found an old video of Kareena that is a perfect reply to these a-holes!
