‘Dangal’ girl Zaira Wasim in a controversy again

‘Dangal’ girl Zaira Wasim is mired in a controversy again and this time, because of a three-year old post on her mother’s Facebook account. A Twitter user has dug out pro-Pakistan posts from Zarqa Wasim’s Facebook account, which has created uproar on social media. Zaira Wasim’s mother Zarqa Wasim, in a three-year old post on her Facebook account, expressed her support for the Pakistani Cricket Team. On March 21, 2014, as India faced Pakistan in one of the matches of T20 World Cup, Zarqa cheered for the Pakistani team with a post which read, “KEEP CALM AND DEFEAT INDIA.” She captioned the picture, “Dil Dil Pakistan.” This isn’t the only thing that she posted on Facebook. Another post shared by Zarqa Wasim on her Facebook account is a cartoon which shows then Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni and then Pakistani skipper Shahid Afridi competing with each other in arm-wrestling. “We don’t sweat;We sparkle... #Nothing_is_impossible... #Bleed_Green!!!!!” is how the caption of the post read. Twitterati loses cool, rips apart Zarqa Wasim’s posts

As soon as Zarqa’s controversial posts surfaced online, Twitterati lost its cool and began bashing her. While one user said that people like Zarqa deserved to be kicked out of India, another user blamed Aamir Khan for promoting Zarqa’s daughter Zaira Wasim in his blockbuster film ‘Dangal.’ Soon after, Zarqa deleted her Facebook account and Zaira made her Twitter account private.
