Oh well, it’s not news that Karan Patel will now tread the cross-dressing path in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein to win his onscreen wife, Divyanka Tripathi’s heart yet again. Raman will become Gulaabo to spend time with his daughters and try to convince Ishita to come back. Upset with Raman’s behaviour Ishita has now moved in with her best friend Mani. We have even seen the promo for the upcoming episode and a glimpse of Karan’s new look on the show. Well, the actor compared himself to Kamal Haasan and Robin Williams since they have done a similar role before but this is the first time that a television actor will resort to cross-dressing for a role.
While we totally accept this and think that it’s quite brave of the actor to do this but comparing yourself with Kamal Haasan and Robin Williams? That was definitely taking it too far. We think Kamal and Robin pulled it off like boss when they dressed up as a woman in the films. And they looked absolutely convincing as a woman unlike Karan. And for some reason, we’re a little disturbed with this progression in the show. We can’t find an answer even after asking ourselves a million times, ‘Why?’

Sorry but that’s nothing like Kamal in Chachi 420 and Robin in Mrs. Doubtfire. In fact, Chachi 420 is one of Kamal’s most remembered and favourite films till date. Don’t you agree? And we really hope Karan doesn’t overdo it in the show. While this might work for the show or get the audience all interested, we can’t help but worry a little. But what do you think?
