While we are excited about Rajinikanth’s upcoming 2.0, we are even more thrilled about his next project. As you all know, Rajinikanth is collaborating with Kabali director – Pa Ranjith again, but the bigger surprise was that son-in-law Dhanush would be producing this ambitious film. Fans were thrilled about this  partnership. The hit combination was getting together again with the talented producer. What more did fans want! Post this announcement, fans had only one question in mind – Who would play the female lead in this project? Earlier there were reports, Amala Paul would play the female lead, but the makers confirmed that she wouldn’t be part of this project. Then there was a buzz that Nayanthara and Trisha were the top contenders for this role. And now the latest updates states, that Vidya Balan might bag the role in this grand project. This is Thalaiva’s 161st film! What do you think of Vidya Balan and Rajinikanth? Will they be turn out to be the hit pair of 2017?
In other news, Rajinikanth is currently shooting for 2.0 in chennai. This is going to be a fast-paced, actioned packed schedule with lot of flying stunts and aerial sequences. Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson and Akshay Kumar will be part of this schedule. 2.0 is the spiritual successor to Enthiran which means, it will include elements from the previous film, but the story is brand new! 2.0 is one of the most expensive films in India, reportedly made on a budget of Rs 400 crore. This film will also mark Akshay Kumar’s debut in Tamil films. Nothing about Amy’s role has been revealed. As for Vidya Balan, her film Begum Jaan will hit theatres on April 14 where she plays a madam of brothel. It’s a powerful yet sensual role. The movie is the Hindi version of the Bengali film – Rajkahini.
So, coming back to Thalaiva 161, what are your thoughts on Vidya Balan starring opposite the one and only Rajinikanth?
