Deepika Padukone’s xXx: The Return of Xander Cage a THREAT to Shraddha Kapoor’s OK Jaanu, say trade experts

reunite on the silverscreen with OK Jaanu. Both the films are already
the talk of the town ever since their first look posters and trailers
got released. So now, the question is, which film will make it big at
the box office. We spoke to our trade expert Amul Mohan to know which
movie will apparently take the lead and he too, wasn’t really sure about
it but yes, he did mention that Deepika’s XXX will be a THREAT to
Shraddha’s OK Jaanu. So in this box office war between DP and Shraddha,
will the former beat the latter? Let’s try to find out the answer..
Screen Count
While OK Jaanu will be releasing in around 1400 screens across the country, The screen count of XXX hasn’t yet been revealed yet but according to our trade expert, the action drama will release in around approximately 1000 screens. So as far as screens are concerned OK Jaanu definitely has the upperhand here.
Audience
While OK jaanu is a romantic comedy sort of film, XXX is an out and out action drama. “The genres of both the films are very different from each other and so the target audience is also very different,” says Amul. ”
Box Office numbers
“It’s a double edged sword,” Amul goes on to say when asked about the box office numbers of both the films. “A Hollywood film does take a major chunk out of theBollywood’s films box office collections. So xXx: the Return of Xander Cage is a threat to OK Jaanu,” he adds further.
So from what the current scenario looks like, Deepika’s Hollywood venture is definitely a reason for Aditya and Shraddha to worry. But let’s not forget ever since Aashiqui 2 happened, Aditya and Shraddha have a HUGE fan following. So you never know how the tables might turn.
Also, another important aspect to this box office clash is that both Shraddha and Aditya’s previous films Rock On 2 and Fitoor didn’t do seemingly well at the box office. So it is kinda important for OK Jaanu to do a good business. Not just that, they shared an amazing chemistry in Aashiqui 2 and fans have high hopes from OK Jaanu too. Talking about Deepika, her fans are obviously waiting with baited breath to see their fav star on the big screen after Bajirao Mastani happened way back in 2015. So yeah, it is a very big deal for Ms Padukone too.
