Shah Rukh Khan – Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan – Deepika Padukone: casting suggestions for Dhoom 4
Possibilities are endless!
Since the time Dhoom 3 hit the big screen in 2013 and
emerged the biggest blockbuster of Indian cinema at that time, there
were several speculations among fans to know what’s next Dhoom series
has in store for them. A film franchise that started in2004, was the
first film based on high-speed bike chases and brought in the trend of
cool villains into the picture. The film starred Abhishek Bachchan and
Uday Chopra as ACP Jai Dixit and bike mechanic cum speed racer Ali,
respectively. It also starred John Abraham as the main villain, Kabir.
After the film became a runaway success at the box office, it spawned
two blockbuster sequels in Dhoom 2 and Dhoom 3.
While all the films had same protagonists in Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra, with different villains each time, in, John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan. Now since the success of Dhoom3 in 2013, there have been several reports of different superstars being considered as the main villain from Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan to Ranveer Singh etc. Later, a few reports also suggested that makers are planning to do away with the lead protagonists as well, may be due to Abhishek Bachchan’s standing at the box office, taking a beating in last few years. In fact, later YRF released a video on YouTube titled DhoomReloaded, which was a mashup of all the three Dhoom films title songs consisting the Dhoom baddies, and Dhoom babes. Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra were missing from the video which further solidified the reports.
Now we hear that makers are still brainstorming to get that perfect cast for the fourth part to make the film bigger than the previous films. As fans of the franchise, we thought of giving it our own take, so here are our own casting suggestions, we would love to see in Dhoom 4.
Casting suggestion 1:
ACP Jai Dixit – Ranbir Kapoor
Ali – Ranveer Singh
The baddie – Salman Khan
The mysterious glamour quotient – Deepika Padukone
Imagine Salman Khan as a cool charismatic Dhoom baddie. Something similar to what he did in Kick, more classier and meaner, though. And Ranbir Kapoor as Jai and Ranveer Singh as Ali with Deepika Padukone in a mysterious role. Expect fireworks at the box office. It’ll be nothing short blockbuster. Ranbir and Ranveer chasing Salman with Deepika being the connecting link between the duo and Salman. No one knows what she is upto. A perfect heist thriller.

Glamour quotient – Priyanka Chopra as Roma from the Don series
Contrary to the reports I’d prefer Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra as the two misfits on the chase of that one big bad villain and who is meanest than Shah Rukh Khan as Don. Yes, I know its a long shot but, how about a crossover between two big franchises of Bollywood in Dhoom series and Don series. Since Don 2 fans are eagerly awaiting the third instalment. Since Roma (Priyanka Chopra) is unable to get hold of Don and even “Gyarah mulko ki Police” is unable to harm Don. Imagine Roma calling Jai and Ali to the rescue. It’s a win-win for both the franchises. And this may also open doors for other films to indulge in crossovers.
