Spiderman: Homecoming trailer – Peter Parker and Tony Stark join forces and it couldn’t get more WICKED
We got a glimpse of Spiderman and Iron Man joining forces in Captain America: Civil War and the post credits promised a Spidey film. Guess Marvel has stuck to the promise by presenting Peter Parker in an all new avatar! Trailer of the much awaited Spiderman: Homecoming is finally out and it is every bit wicked! Yesterday Marvel decided to tease us a little by sharing a teaser video. Surprisingly the teaser had Jon Favreau handing over a much updated version of his Spiderman costume. In the trailer, we get to see the costume shine out in full glory. Of course, Tom Holland’s cute, ‘I’m a teenager who wants to kick the bad guy’s butt’ attitude is all over the trailer. However, more than that there’s Robert Downey Jr, reprising his role as the chauvinistic billionaire, Tony Stark! More on this, you can check it out below as we review the trailer.
What’s Hot?
June 2017 is going to be a big treat for all Spiderman fans. Not only will we see one of our favourite superheroes take charge but we’ll also see him join forces with the charismatic Iron Man. The trailer promises a lot of funny quotient as Holland as Peter Parker tries to prove himself to Stark. The costume upgrade of Spidey, which we’ve only read about in comics, will finally see the light of day in Homecoming. While Parker states, “I’m sick of adults treating me like a kid just because I’m a kid!” you can’t really blame Tony for being a little charging (considering how teenagers can sometimes be stupid).
I also like the part where he’s stopping a bunch of wannabe Avengers robbers who try to steal an ATM. After beating the shit out of them, Spidey goes, ‘Oh that was so awesome!’ I totally dig that, Peter! The vulture, played by Michael Keaton is bloody badass. If there’s someone who’d do a good job of playing the villain in Spidey’s life, Keaton makes sure his life is hell. Plus, Vulture has already affirmed that anybody who comes in his way shall perish. How will Spiderman be able to destroy his opponent? That is the question. Oh and not to forget, the trailer ends with Iron Man and Spiderman flying off together. The very scene excites all my nerves! This film is going to be kickass, hopefully!
What’s Not?
There’s a lot of error in continuity. While I do understand the fact that trailers are supposed to intrigue and confuse you, this one suffers a lot of continuity error. Somehow the US trailer looks more sorted and promising than the international one. The international trailer starts with his role in Captain America: Civil War and how he baffled everyone by taking away CapAm’s armour. However, in the US trailer, it starts with the robbery scene. Perhaps they did a better job of making the US trailer than the International trailer. Also, Vulture’s badass mode takes us back to Green Goblin’s look from the first Spiderman movie, starring Toby Maguire. Let’s hope the film is not going to be a reprise of the first Spidey film because we’re having a lot of hopes from the film.
Did you check out both the trailers? Which one was your favourite? Tell us in the comments section below. Oh and do stay tuned as we’ll update you on the happenings of Spiderman: Homecoming. Film to hit the screens next year in June.
