Shah Rukh Khan meets Raj Thackeray to discuss Mahira Khan and Raees

Shah Rukh Khan quietly visits MNS leader Raj Thackeray's house to talk about his upcoming release Raees..

Since morning there are reports doing the rounds that Shah Rukh Khan has secretly flown down to Dubai to shoot the remaining portions of Raees with Pakistani actress Mahira Khan. But looks like Shah Rukh changed his plans as just a while ago he was captured by the paparazzi outside MNS leader Raj Thackeray’s house. SRK visiting Thackeray’s house has raised many eyebrows. Shah Rukh is awaiting the release of Raees which has Pakistani actress Mahira in the female lead. And that’s exactly the reason he was there. ANI quoted Raj Thackeray saying, “He (Shah Rukh Khan) had come to inform that rumours about Mahira Khan promoting Raees are false.”

At the launch of Raees‘ trailer, it was announced that it need be, the makers will get Mahira Khan to India to promote the film. Guess SRK had gone to the leader’s house to assure him that no such plans have been made. We all know that ever since the Uri attack happened, MNS has banned all the Pakistani actors. Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil faced a lot of trouble as  Fawad Khan was playing a pivotal role in the film. MNS party had demanded Karan and Shah Rukh to replace Fawad and Mahira in their respective films.  In fact MNS leaders even protested outside KJO’s office and house and threatened him to remove Fawad’s scenes  from the film. However that was next to impossible as they had already been complete.
KJo’s ADHM released and we hardly got to see Fawad in the film. There were lots of speculations that KJo chopped Fawad’s scenes from the film due to the ban. Now SRK’s Raees will be releasing on January 25, 2017. And hopefully, this gesture by SRK will ensure a smooth release of Raees.
