Ok Jaanu first look: No lip-lock for Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur
Finally the first look poster of Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Ok Jaanu is out and it’s cute. The poster features the superhit jodi of Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor against the backdrop of Mumbai. The look and feel of the poster is quite refreshing and youthful. The poster also has a caption that says “Figure out kar lenge…13th Jan. 2017” (We’ll figure it out).
If the poster has the faces of Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, it’s the names of those backing it, that catch your attention. With the likes of Mani Ratnam, Karan Johar, Gulzar, AR Rahman and Shaad Ali, the film is bound to grab attention of avid cinema lovers. It also marks the return of Mani Ratnam, though only as a producer, after seven years to the Bollywood, his last one being Abhishek Bachchan’s Raavan, which didn’ t do well at the box office.
Ok Jaanu is the official remake of Ok Kadhal Kanmani which is perhaps the best romantic film we have seen in recent times. Blending the sensibilities of the youth of today with a cute love story was the USP of this film. It is one of those romances that actually happen in today’s time and that’s why it became a nationwide craze. Hence, we will be watching out for this film with great caution. It’s a tall order to follow, you see! 
Thing to be noted here is, Shaad Ali, in the past, has directed the Hindi remake of Mani Ratnam’s Alaipayuthey titled Saathiya and that film worked wonders at the box office. Now we just have to wait for January 13, 2017 to see if the film creates the magic of its original film and will audience lap up the pairing of Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, just like they did in Aashiqui 2.
