Kajol begins shooting for her Tamil film VIP 2 with Dhanush – FIRST pics out!

From past few days there were strong speculations of Kajol making a comeback of sorts to Tamil cinema with Dhanush' VIP 2.

From past few days there were strong speculations of Kajol making a comeback of sorts to Tamil cinema with Dhanush’ VIP 2. And looks like those speculations turned into reality as the pre-production on Kajol’s upcoming Tamil film with Dhanush has officially started. Sharing the pics, Kajol took to Twitter and posted a still from the first photo shoot of the film. She captioned the image as, “Finally 1st day photoshoot! #backtotamilafter20yrs#thenewteam” Not just that producer of the film and Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth too tweeted about the same and shared two pics, captioning, “#PhotoShoot with the one and only @KajolAtUN mam & our very own #Raghuvaran @dhanushkraja can’t get better than this !!!! #Vip2”

For all the uninitiated, this will mark Kajol’s return to Tamil cinema after a span of twenty years. She made her debut in Tamil cinema with 1997’s Minsara Kanavu, which was released in Hindi as Sapnay and starred her alongside Arvind Swamy and Prabhudheva. It is reported that she has been offered more than Rs 4 crore for this project.
Kajol made her comeback to Hindi cinema with 2015’s Dilwale alongside Shah Rukh Khan after a span of five years.
On the other hand Dhanush is currently wrapping his project – Ennai Nokki Payum Thotta with Gautham Menon. the movie is expected to release around February 2017. He is also busy with directorial debut – Power Paandi. The first look was already released with announcement, now awaiting a teaser or further updates. He will soon resume shooting for Vada Chennai, the trilogy with Vetrimaran. It’s reportedly based on the life of a gangster. It is set across three decades. He also has a project with Karthik Subbaraj. Also there was some news of him venturing into Hollywood next year. Well VIP 2 has become quite interesting now, considering the two powerhouse performers joining hands together for the first time, fireworks are bound to happen.
