Is it ok for Ranveer Singh to flash his butt in Befikre and not show gay kisses?

Why aren't we surprised?

Is it ok for Ranveer Singh to flash his butt in Befikre and not show gay kisses?

Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor’s kissathon or Ranveer showing off his butt in Befikre doesn’t really seem to bother Pahlaj Nihalani as much as the gay kiss did. Which is probably why the Censor Board chief deleted those scenes from Labon Ka Karobaar song from the film. No I am not saying that I am against Ranveer and Vaani making out on the big screen or him showing off his butt, but why can’t gay kisses be taken as casually or normally? The song Labon Ka Kaarobaar was the first song to be released from the Befikre album and it had various couples kissing each other.
“Yes, we have removed the gay kiss from the first song in Befikre. The whole song is about various couples of different ages kissing all over Paris. We felt the gay kiss would not be acceptable to all the viewers,” Pahlaj Nihalani told The Quint. There were two gay kisses in the song which have now been deleted, courtesy Pahlaj Nihalaani. He further went on to say that the Indian audience might get offended with gays and lesbians kissing onscreen and that he didn’t want to hurt the sentiments of the people.
Well, why aren’t we surprised? This isn’t the first time when some scenes or topics that are “against the norms and culture of our society” have been chopped off from Hindi films. A lot of Bollywood movies have had their fair share of censor troubles- take for instance the Udta Punjab menace or Manoj Bajpayee’s Aligarh which was given an A certificate because it was based on homosexuality.
