Here’s all you need to know about Deepika Padukone’s Ghoomar sequence in Padmavati

If there is one film that we are eagerly looking forward to in 2017, it HAS to be Padmavati. Ever since Sanjay Leela Bhansali announced the project, there has been much hype about the film and why not? With a stellar star cast like Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in the lead roles, the film has to be one of the most talked about films. The cast and crew are currently shooting the second schedule of the film and from what we know, the shoot is going on in full swing. After facing so many hurdles initially, it is indeed wonderful to know that. Just a couple of weeks ago, we reported to you that Deepika has completed the Ghoomar sequence and for all those who have been wanting to know more about this, we have got some EXCLUSIVE scoop for you.
Rimple and Harpreet Narula, who are the costume designers for Padmavati, revealed it exclusively to BollywoodLife that Deepika’s Ghoomar sequence is just out of the world. “The Ghoomar dance has come out to be really very well. Just recently we have completely the sequence. What Deepika will be wearing is a typical Rajasthani ghoomar and we have taken into consideration the typical colours like the reds and yellows for the outfit. And of course, we have added our own touch to it. We are being very careful with the colours, the fabrics and everything else because people observe everything closely. So even now, we are reading story books, visiting museums and doing our research on the outfits of those times,” revealed Rimple. This is so awesome, isn’t it? The filmmaker and cast are being very guarded about the sets which is why not even one on-the-sets picture has come out so far. Let’s hope the wait is worth it.
Considering that Padmavati is a period drama, it is very crucial for the filmmaker to examine the costumes and sets very critically and it has to be just perfect. Who better than Sanjay Leela Bhansali to bring it out perfectly? Padmavati is all set to release next year in 2017.
