Deepika Padukone beats Priyanka Chopra to be the most followed Indian actress on Twitter

It’s tough for Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra to not be compared. The two are superstars in Bollywood, and both are soon to launch their Hollywood careers. The fate of their movies Baywatch and xXx: Return of Xander Cage is yet to be sealed, but Deepika has beaten Priyanka in a very different domain already. Twitter India has released the list of most followed personalities on Twitter. Deepika Padukone, with 16.7 million followers, is slightly above Priyanka, with 15.5 million followers.
Surprisingly, the list of top 10 followed Indians, only has two women in the list. We hope to see more women on the list, by the end of 2017. Despite of being more active than Deepika, and having regular chat sessions with the fans, Priyanka lagged just a little behind Deepika.
On work front Priyanka will be seen in Baywatch. Directed by Seth Gordon, the film has Priyanka playing the antagonist and also features Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach and Ilfenesh Hadera. While Deepika is all set to make her Hollywood debut with xXx: Return of Xander Cage, opposite Vin Diesel, Nina Dobrev, Ruby Rose. Let us see who wins that fight.
In the most followed list released by Twitter for the year 2016, Amitabh Bachchan has beaten the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar etc. Bachchan senior is at the top with 23.8 million followers, followed by the Badshah of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan with 22.4 million followers. Number third in the list is Salman Khan with 20.6 million followers and Aamir Khan with 19.2 million followers. AR Rahman is the only musci composer in the list, with 12.7 million followers.
