Ranveer Singh has completed 6 years in Bollywood and the actor has come long way.

ram-leelaRanveer Singh has completed 6 years in Bollywood and the actor has come a long way. He is one actor who never shied away from experimenting with his roles. If Band Bajaa Baraat saw him as the reckless aimless man who suddenly finds a profession he loves, Lootera had him play a con artist with so much conviction that people sympathised with him. And as for intensity, Bajirao Mastani was a classic example.
Ranveer’s rise has been meteoric. Not everyone manages to get a hit with their debut film but he did because he was extremely likeable in it. He followed it up with Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl which was an underwhelming film despite Ranveer acing the conman act. Lootera was perhaps the most underrated performance of this actor. It was an exquisitely shot film which saw one of his best acts. But box office wasn’t too kind to it. Then came Goliyon ki Raasleela – Ram Leela and Ranveer regained his box office standing. Since then, the actor has not seen a single disappointment at the box office except for an average Dil Dhadakne Do. He will return as Padmavati soon which is one film we are deeply interested in for he has turned really bad in this. It’s not grey but plain bad as Alauddin Khilji was known to be a shrewd ruler. Yet another variety in his role which will only add to his credibility.
But out of all the characters that he portrayed, these 6 roles of the actor left an indelible mark on us.
Band Baaja Baarat

Ranveer Singh as Bittoo Sharma was brilliant. Being a Delhi guy, he slipped into the character of a guy who is clueless about his life but is sure of one thing, he won’t join his father’s sugarcane business. The simplicity with which he pulled off the act was amazing. Nobody could have played Bittoo better than him and we are ready to bet on it. He mirrored every youth who just want to be part of something different and not the usual.
Lootera

Everyone calls Ranveer with a zany guy who can do something really crazy all the time. But Lootera proved that if he wants, he can be a sweet, restrained and poised guy as well. He was revelation in the film. His chemistry with Sonakshi Sinha was so subtle and subdued that you will instantly love them.
Dil Dhadakne Do

Ranveer as Kabir Sharma is a boyfriend we all want in our life. He is hot, fashionable, articulate and knows how to have fun. In a film filled with big names like Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and Anil Kapoor, Ranveer shined bright. He was simply adorable. Remember that confrontation scene between him and his parents? Brilliantly done!
Goliyon Ki Raasleela – Ram Leela

Ram Leela was a game changer for Ranveer. Sanjay Leela Bhansali saw his Romeo in him and the actor didn’t disappoint his mentor at all. It was perhaps the best act of Ranveer. Why we say so because the character of Ram had many shades. He was playful at the star, madly in love in between and ferociously intense in the later part of the film. Ranveer portrayed each one of the perfectly, proving that if challenged well, he can do wonders!
Bajirao Mastani
bajirao
No one could have played Bajirao better than Ranveer.  This man raised the bar for all his contemporaries with this film. Ranveer left no stone unturned to become Bajirao, he even went bald to get into the skin of his character.
Befikre

Ranveer’s latest release Befikre is winning hearts and all thanks to his portrayal of Dharam in the film. RS has owned it. The actor plays this guy who is in a no-strings attached relationship with Vaani Kapoor and is happy with the way things are. Befikre proves how nobody can play Delhi ka munda better than him. His energy in the film is infectious. Even in the midst of all that fun and frolic, he aced the intense moments. No wonder Aditya Chopra wanted Ranveer to be his Befikra and no one else!
