Shahid Kapoor’s reaction on teaming up with Ranveer for Padmavati will FINALLY quash the fallout rumours
Shahid Kapoor FINALLY breaks his silence on teaming up with Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone for Padmavati...
A lot has been rumoured about Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor’s ego clashes coz of Padmavati.
It
was reported that both the actors have been facing huge differences
over the mere fact that it’s a two hero project and that who would get
the maximum screen time. In fact, some reports even came suggesting how
director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is having a tough time thinking what
should be done to make peace between Ranveer and Shahid. But guess, all
these upsetting rumours can finally set for Shahid Kapoor finally
broke his silence on how excited he is to team up with Ranveer,
Bhansali and leading lady Deepika Padukone for Padmavati. Yes!
Hoping to clear all the fuss surrounding Padmavati, Shahid in his
media interaction at the Jio MAMI Film Festival today made his very
first statement about the film stating, “I’m happy Padmavati has gotten
cast the way it has. It’s not a two hero film, it has 3 principal
characters. I wish Padmavati came to me 5 years ago. Feel lucky to be a
part of Bhansali’s project” Now need he say more?
Not to mention, Padmavati is based on the story of Queen Padmavati,
also known as Rani Padmini of Chittor, whose beauty was the talk of the
whole country. Alas! This beauty also proved to be a curse in her life
as the Delhi emperor Alauddin Khilji was obsessed with her, even though
she was married to Raja Ratan Singh. When Khilji attacks their kingdom
and holds the king as his captive, Queen Padmavati self-immolates
herself so as not to fall in the enemy’s hand, a tradition that was used
to be called Jouhar. Raja Ratan Singh manages to escape his
confinement, but he doesn’t manage to reach his queen alive. Deepika Padukone
plays Padmavati, Shahid Kapoor plays her husband Raja Ratan Singh and
Ranveer Singh plays Alauddin Khilji. While Ranveer and Shahid have
already started to prep up for their looks, it’ll be interesting to see
their face off in the film.
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Padmavati is all set to release on November 17, 2017. Keep watching this space for more.
