It is fad to recreate old songs of the 1990s. Commando 2 starring Vidyut Jammwal, Adah Sharma, Esha Gupta and Freddy Daruwala has a new version of the hit track from Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan’s thriller Bhool Bhulaiya. The song is out today and it definitely catches your eye for a number of reasons. The song was shot in Mehboob Studios, Bandra over five years and has been choreographed by Feroz Khan. It is a very pacy number and the actors have danced really well. There is also a bit of rap as it is the flavour of the season.

All the actors are wearing black and gold. The overall look is quite mean, rugged and Gothic. It is the guys who steal the show. Commando 2’s leading man Vidyut Jammwal proves he can groove as well as he can kick butt. He has mastered the freestyle and hip-hop form and is a joy to watch. While Vidyut is an extremely good-looking guy, we just wish they had toned down his pompadour hairdo a bit. I mean his puff would have given the late matinee icon Dev Anand a run for his money. He makes a superb entry on a bike. He felt the other grungy look made him look a lot more hotter. Freddy is giving us a glimpse of his toned abs in that vest with a plunging necklace. While Adah Sharma is more stylized, Esha Gupta looks smouldering.

Coming to the song, it is written by Kumaar, while the singers are Armaan Malik and Ritika. Rapper Raftaar has added some spunk to the groovy track. The original song was sung by Neeraj Sridhar and composed by Pritam. The Akshay Kumar one was peppy while this one has a more club vibe to it. Commando 2 is directed by Deven Bhojani and will release on March 3, 2017. Which one do you prefer, Akshay or Vidyut’s version? Do let us know with your comments…
