In a sudden turn of events, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra have parted ways as a couple.

All’s certainly not well between Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. While there have been constant rumours surrounding their on and off relationship. Word is that they have finally taken a break from each other now. Yes! Although the exact reason to this ‘temporary’ split is yet to be known but our source exclusively reveals to us that even during the Dream Team Tour, Alia and Sid maintained a casual relationship with no much PDA involved. In fact, they looked so detached as a couple that everyone around eventually got to know that they are in no mood to tag along as a couple. Now is insecurity the reason why Sid-Alia are falling apart? It’s for you to guess.
However having said that, our source further affirms that though Alia and Sid have taken a break but that doesn’t mean they are not on talking terms. Turns out they are giving much space to each other and want to utilise this break for their personal and professional benefits. In the sense, Sid wants to majorly focus on his work right now considering his recent release Baar Baar Dekho too terribly failed to impress. And even in Alia’s case, she’s pretty tied up with quite a few films coming up right from Dear Zindagi opposite Shah Rukh Khan to Badrinath Ki Dulhania with Varun Dhawan. So at this point in time, both Alia and Sidharth just want to take things easy on the personal front and make the most out of their career.

No wonder Alia too had recently clarified in an interview saying, “Tomorrow if there are reports of my affairs or breakups – true or not- will hurt me emotionally. Not putting any words in the public domain saves me from any further damage. It’s a way of being cautious. You become what is your personal life and I don’t want my personal life to be in the limelight though it sometimes does happen by default. I am here to work and be known as an actor and not a star who is known for her happening personal life.”
