Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma, Alia Bhatt – 9 best dressed celebs at Manish Malhotra’s 50th bash

Manish Malhotra’s 50th birthday bash was one of the biggest parties of the year. Attended by Bollywood’s biggest actors and actresses, the sartorial quotient of the event was expected to be sky high. Karan Johar kept the theme as black and gold, colours that reflect style, celebration and class at Bollywood parties. However, we were sadly disappointed seeing how some of Bollywood’s top stars turned up at the event. While the guys were okay (they don’t experiment much, anyways) the ladies left us sorely disappointed. Anyways, we have managed to zero down on nine ladies whom we felt stole the show…Here is a checklist
Kareena-Kapoor
Kareena Kapoor Khan
The lovely Kareena Kapoor Khan looked really beautiful in a black gown with sheer effect. Devoid of much jewellery, barring a number of rings and a chunky watch, Bebo only let her eyes do the talking. The theme of the party was black and gold but she skipped on the yellow metal altogether. Bebo showed us that less is more and how. We love the soft pink lips and the smile she had all through. Lastly, don’t get us started on those gorgeous locks.
Karishma-Kapoor
Karisma Kapoor
We know that Manish Malhotra transformed Karisma Kapoor’s onscreen looks in the late 1990s and she did not disappoint us one bit with her outfit at his birthday bash. The Roberto Rodriguez mini was glamorous yet subtle. She teamed it with shoes from Christian Louboutin and a Bottega Venetta clutch.
Aditi-Rao-Hydari
Aditi Rao Hydari
Aditi Rao Hydari along with Karisma Kapoor was one of the few who donned gold and black with panache. Her golden pants and lacy top were from Zara which she paired with a Forever New jacket. The actress wore earrings from Minerali store and her hair and makeup was done by Elton Fernandez. The lady took to her Insta to thank stylist Sanam Ratansi and co and we feel they truly deserved a pat on the back. With those bronzed cheeks, Aditi exuded the magnetism of an Amazonian Goddess.
Athiya-Shetty
Athiya Shetty
She does not disappoint us with her sartorial outings. Athiya Shetty opted for one of her favourites Roberto Cavalli. She paired the tea length dress with black pumps and soft makeup. Athiya Shetty is styled by Ami Patel and the girl surely knows how to rock the look.
Alia Bhatt
Alia Bhatt
Alia changed from a funky gown to a dazzling shirt dress made by Manish himself for the do. A sleek hairdo and strappy sandals finished off her ensemble. She kept her makeup minimal going for smoky eyes.
Sophie-Choudri-(2)
Sophie Choudry
The gorgeous Sophie Choudry is a total fashionista. She really worked the lame gown from Halston Heritage and given the material it is quite a feat. Jewels from Farah Khan Ali and a Bottega Veneta clutch were her accessories of choice. Lovely curls and soft make up ensured that she looked uber glam without a bit of tackiness.

Sridevi
Ditching the black (she kept it for husband Boney Kapoor), Sridevi opted for white and gold. She wore a white sari with a sequined blouse. Given the intricate work on the outfit, Sridevi skipped jewellery and instead chose to add some colour through a red lip. The results were nice unlike many others.
Malaika-Arora-Khan
Malaika Arora Khan
Though we feel the top half of the dress is not very flattering, there is no denying that Malaika rocked the thigh slit and flaunted her curves in a very sexy manner. The silver outfit was by Monisha Jaisingh and her jewellery from Renu Oberoi and Mahesh Notandass.
Sonali-Bendre
Sonali Bendre
Sonali Bendre kept it casual chic at Manish Malhotra’s 50th birthday bash
She makes us happy most of the times with her red carpet appearances.  Ditching the black and gold, Sonali opted for a silver skirt with a blue top. Strappy metallic sandals, a sling bag and red lips completed her look. And she too wowed us with her hair.
