Dear Zindagi box office collection: Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt’s slice of life PROUDLY enters the 100 crore club
Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt's Dear Zindagi has crossed 100 crores in the overseas market!
Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt might be dancing in joy right now because their film Dear Zindagi has entered the 100 crore club in the beginning of week two! Producer of the film, Karan Johar proudly tweeted the same as he shared the good news on Twitter. Just earlier, we had shared the news of the film set to enter the 50 crs club on the ninth day. However, looks like even before it crosses 50 crores at the box office, the film has managed to gross 100 crores. The score includes collections from overseas as well as domestic market.
Earlier, Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh, had tweeted saying that the film will easily surpass the Rs 50 cr benchmark after today’s collections. So far, the film has raked in Rs 49.25 cr as it entered the second week at the box office. “#DearZindagi [Week 2] Fri 2.25 cr. Total: ₹ 49.25 cr. India biz… Will cross ₹ 50 cr mark today [Sat],” stated the trade guru. KJo shared the good news on social media as he proudly stated that the film has entered the 100 crore club. Within it’s first week, the film has surpassed Highway, English Vinglish and Wazir’s lifetime collection!
You heard that right. Dear Zindagi is now the fifth highest overseas grosser of the year 2016. As we stated earlier, the film will soon enter the 50 crore club. In fact, by tomorrow, we’ll receive numbers that the filmmakers will be happy to see. Having produced with just 30 crores, the film has already become a hit. However, that is just the overseas total. In domestic market too, the film has done a very good performance at the box office. Perhaps with the second opening, the film will emerge as a hit.
