2017 will begin on a romantic note, courtesy Shaad Ali’s Ok Jaanu starring Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur. Yes, one of the most popular couples of Bollywood are coming together for a fun, unconventional love story and we are super excited! The first look posters have been out and it looks fresh and quirky. We are loving the tagline – ‘Figure out Kar lenge’ and the wacky logo too. We bet it’s going to be one helluva ride! Considering we are only a month away from its release, let’s tell you what you can expect from Karan Johar’s OK Jaanu:
O Kadhal Kanmani
One of the biggest reasons for our excitement is that, OK Jaanu is the remake of the Tmail hit movie O Kadhal Kanmani by Mani Ratnam. This movie received a fabulous response from the audience for its refreshing take on love and relationships. It was real and relatable, there was nothing cliched about it. Who wouldn’t want to watch a love story like this one? The original starred Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen, and their chemistry was crackling. Waiting to see the same in the Hindi remake.
Shraddha Kapoor–Aditya Roy Kapur‘s chemistry 
This good looking duo defines love. Their chemistry is effortless, easy and so genuine. We saw a glimpse of that in Aashiqui 2 right? So now they are back again in another love story. It’s like re-living their magic but in a different story. Get ready to fall in love with Shraddha Kapoor-Aditya Roy Kapur all over again.
Modern age love story
Well after mushy romantic sagas, get ready for an unconventional love story with OK Jaanu. It’s about a couple and their take on live-in relationships and love. It’s cute, real, fun and has an innocent charm to it. We have seen scores of love stories, but this one for sure will stand out. And guess what the dialogues are written by Gulzar! Sigh
Music
OK Kanmani music was melodious, peppy and fresh! It was in total sync with the theme. It reflected the love story perfectly. So we are expecting a repeat of the magic in OK Jaanu as well. The music will be composed by AR Rahman who happened to create the music for the original one as well. Yay!
Set in Mumbai
The movie is set in Amchi Mumbai, The fact that a love story is blossoming amidst the hustle and bustle of this very city, makes it so real and relatable. Unlike other stories set in unknown locations, the familiarity of place in this particular story will have its own charm.
