It is the biopic made by Apoorva Lakhia on the life of Haseena Parkar, the sister of Dawood Ibrahim. Though people know her as his sister she was quite a formidable figure herself. The biopic was being planned for a really long time and even Sonakshi Sinha was considered for the titular role. However, she could not do the film due to date issues. The actress was kicked about the project but could not managed enough time. Her elder brother Siddhant Kapoor is also a part of Haseena.
Shraddha Kapoor announced her first day of the shoot with a message on Twitter. This is the actress’ first biopic. We have seen Shraddha doing next girl door and romantic stuff but this is a very meaty role. It will help her prove her mettle as an actress. Actors like Farhan Akhtar and Vatsal Sheth congratulated the team, when Shraddha posted the below message

Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena entered the world of crime after the death of her husband by Arun Gawli’s gang in 1991. He killed the murderers in an infamous shootout near JJ Hospital. The lady was known for her involvement in hawala, film releases, extortion and cable wars. She was into settling disputes between construction firms and slum dwellers. That was her major tasks. She died in 2014 due to cardiac arrest.
