Taapsee Pannu and Akshay Kumar have wrapped up the Malaysia schedule for their upcoming film Naam Shabana, slated to release next year. “Finished the second leg of ‘Naam Shabana’. A very well planned and successfully executed schedule,” Taapsee said in a statement. Akshay has a special appearance in the film which is a prequel to his hit film Baby. This film focus more on Taapsee’s character, and will narrate the story of how she came to join Baby – the secret service team.
The pair shot across famous locations of Kuala Lumpur, including the City Centre and close to the Petronas Towers for the Shivam Mair directorial. “So much to learn watching Akshay do action live… Starting the next schedule in a week’s time,” she said.
Taapsee is training in martial arts for her role in the film. Yep! We will once again see the actress throw some mean kicks and punches. A picture of bloodied Taapsee, being escorted away by Akshay Kumar went viral a few days ago. The picture was a scene being shot in Malaysia. Last time we saw Shabana with a bloodied nose, she had just thwarted a terrorist in a hotel room. That was certainly the BEST hand combat sequence we have seen in the longest time. Can’t wait to see more action stunts in Naam Shabana.
Naam Shabana also features critically acclaimed actor Manoj Bajpayee and South star Prithviraj in pivotal roles. Anupam Kher also returns, and will be playing the same character he played in Baby. A new and quite surprising addition to the cast in Naam Shabana is Elli Avram. The ex-Bigg Boss contestant took to her Instagram and shared a picture with the cast and expressed her gratitude towards the cast and crew of the film. We wonder what role she would be playing in the film. There is an uncertainty if Rana Daggubati’s character will return or not!
Taapsee’s last appearance was Pink alongside Amitabh Bachchan which received rave reviews.
