Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay has not been passed by Censor board yet
AJay Devgn's Shivaay is yet to be watched by the Censor Board. So no question of getting a single cut on it.
This morning you were told through news reports that Ajay Devgn‘s Shivaay has been passed with just one cut and CBFC is of the view that it should get a U certificate. A source quoted DNA, “Shivaay went for screening on Thursday after Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was
passed by the CBFC on Wednesday. Ajay Devgn has been at the Walkeshwar
office of the Board for the last few days. Only the kiss and the
lovemaking scene (in the transparent tent hanging from a cliff) between
Ajay and Erika Kaar has been trimmed a bit.” Adds the source, “The Board
further felt that the film should get a U certificate as there was
nothing else to warrant cuts. Even the violence and action scenes are
not of the gory kind. It being a Diwali release, Ajay has made the film
keeping family audience in mind. He will get the CBFC certificate
today”. But turns out the Board has not even watched the film. Ajay
Devgn just clarified that.
Ajay took to Twitter to reveal the news saying, “Just for your
information guys, censor is yet to see Shivaay. I will update as soon as
the censor is done.” Obviously, the Board has not watched it and so all
talks about it getting just a single cut doesn’t hold true anymore.
So the clash is still on and while on that, this is what Ajay feels about it, “The audience would know which is a better film and that will take away all the benefits. The audience gets divided. Eventually, what will happen is, we are not talking about the first day. It is a pre-Diwali day and we don’t expect a very big number because people are busy. By the time you come to Monday, which is like the first day, audience will know which is a better film and that will take away all the benefits.”
Let the better film win. What say people?
