Yuvraj Singh is one of those cricketers, who need no introduction. His immense contribution to Indian cricket as player has inspired many youngsters and can be surely said as one of the legendary cricketers to have represented Indian cricket team. Not only among the fans, but he is also an inspiration for big celebrities of the nation. Recently, one of India’s young star actors — Ranbir Kapoor opened up and expressed his desire to play the role of Yuvraj in his biopic while promoting his upcoming movie ‘Aye Dil Hai Mushkil’. The story of Yuvraj’s life is full of twists and turns with lots of ups and downs.
Be it his controversial connection with Bollywood actresses, issues with captain MS Dhoni, battling with cancer and then coming back into the team. The year 2016 has already seen two biopics on Indian cricketers — Azhar on Mohammad Azharuddin and MS Dhoni: The Untold Story on Dhoni. While promoting his movie on India – New Zealand series‘ official broadcaster StarSports, Ranbir said while responding to the question which cricketer he would love to play on-screen, “Like I mentioned earlier, Yuvraj Singh. I think he has had an interesting story.” Well, Ranbir has played few complex roles so far but it will be interesting to see him play Yuvraj’s part. Although, some fans may prefer Herry Tangry because of his short but impressive performance in Dhoni’s biopic as Yuvraj in the movie.
Ranbir also spoke about other cricketers as well, such as Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar, while Anushka Sharma, his co-star in the film, did not get much to say about cricket.
