Ranbir Kapoor wants to play Yuvraj Singh on-screen in his biopic
I think Yuvraj Singh has had an interesting story, says Ranbir Kapoor.
Be it his controversial connection with Bollywood actresses, issues with captain MS Dhoni, battling with cancer and then coming back into the team. The year 2016 has already seen two biopics on Indian cricketers — Azhar on Mohammad Azharuddin and MS Dhoni: The Untold Story on Dhoni. While promoting his movie on India – New Zealand series‘ official broadcaster StarSports, Ranbir said while responding to the question which cricketer he would love to play on-screen, “Like I mentioned earlier, Yuvraj Singh. I think he has had an interesting story.” Well, Ranbir has played few complex roles so far but it will be interesting to see him play Yuvraj’s part. Although, some fans may prefer Herry Tangry because of his short but impressive performance in Dhoni’s biopic as Yuvraj in the movie.
Ranbir also spoke about other cricketers as well, such as Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar, while Anushka Sharma, his co-star in the film, did not get much to say about cricket.
Ranbir’s movie is set to release this Friday, which also features actresses like Anushka and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
