For those who haven’t watched the trailer of Vidya Balan‘s Kahaani 2, you’re missing out on a lot of thriller scenes! So quickly check out the trailer right here. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the film brings back Vidya but with a totally new character and new twists. We remember what a thrilling ride Kahaani was as the actress went on a journey to look for her husband. The second part promises a similar kind of twisted journey as she looks for her daughter. The film also stars Arjun Rampal as the cop, perplexed by Vidya’s character, Durga Rani Singh. Along with all the twist and turns in the plot of this film comes Amitabh Bachchan‘s presence! He’s the biggest secret of the film!
While on Twitter, many celebs shared their thoughts of what the trailer was, Big B simply released the trailer with just a word, “ENJOY”. Now this is odd as usually celebs who share trailers are part of the film itself. It’s a little funny as Bachchan sir tweeted almost five to six times sharing the link, thinking it releases but they all had glitches. We know how Sujoy and Amitabh go way behind as they have worked together on quite a lot of projects in the past. In fact, Big B also made a special appearance in Kahaani as he sung a song for the director. Ekla Chalo, remember? The partnership of Big B and Sujoy continues even in the second movie. While we don’t know what kind of appearance he’ll be making in the film, we’re pretty sure it’s gonna be just as rocking as the previous part. At the trailer launch, Sujoy was asked whether the actor was in fact, a part of the film. To this he replied, “Watch the movie for it please.” Aha! Which means there is a high possibility that Mr Bachchan is a part of Kahaani 2. Looks like Ghosh is following Karan Johar’s lucky charm theory as he likes to have Big B as a part of all his projects.
Kahaani 2’s release date has been postponed so it doesn’t clash with Alia Bhatt‘s Dear Zindagi. Well, Vidya does share a very good bond with the Bhatts and at the trailer launch, the actress revealed, “It was since we have close relations with Bhatt sahab! His daughter’s movie is releasing on earlier date so we didn’t mind pushing our movie further.” That’s damn sweet of her, isn’t it? We’ve seen Vidya work with the Bhatts in Humari Adhuri Kahani and even though the film didn’t receive good responses, Balan and the Bhatt family struck a chord!
The 2 minute long trailer of Kahaani 2 has spoken volumes of just how fantastic and thrilling its going to be. Vidya has never failed us in terms of her acting. The National Award winning actress might have had a few flops in the recent past but this trailer promises a gamer change for the actress. Are you rooting for the film?
