Shivaay quick movie review: Ajay Devgn’s film is a breathtaking ride in the first half

The wait is finally over. Ajay Devgn’s action adventure, Shivaay is finally out. The movie not only stars Ajay but has also been directed and produced by him. Clearly a lot is on stake with this film. Erika Kaar, and Sayyeshaa play key roles in the film and Abigail Eames plays Ajay’s daughter. From the trailer it was evident that film will be an out and out action film, with an emotional family drama being pivotal to the plot. The music of the film also has been well received, especially the song Raatein. Mithoon has done a commendable job with Bolo Har Har Har, which has been rocking the music charts since the release. Exquisite shots of mountains promised a beautiful looking film. Also,  fans were thrilled to see never-before-action sequences in the trailer. But is the film worth all the hype? Bollywoodlife’s movie critic Gaurang Chauhan is in a theater watching the film, and the first half of the film just got over. Here’s the movie review of the first half of Shivaay…
“The film starts off with that stunning visual of Ajay Devgn lying shirtless and that’s how we are introduced to Shivaay. In fact the full entry scene is breathtaking with title track playing in the background. Soon enough Erika (Olga) is introduced and the film starts to grow on you. Their romance is heartfelt and Shivaay’s love for this beauty is perfectly depicted by Ajay. But Olga (Erika) leaves after giving birth to her child Gaura (Abigail). The focus then shifts to their daughter Gaura. The father-daughter moments between Shivaay and Gaura are simply adorable. Gaura can’t speak. She finds out about her mother and forces Shivaay to let her meet her mother. They travel to Bulgaria, to find Olga. That’s when something catastrophic happens and the plot gets even more thrilling.”
Hoping for the second half to be as breathtaking and thrilling as the pre interval portion was.”
