Surprise Surprise! Priyanka Chopra will be seen in this movie before her Hollywood debut Baywatch

We all know it’s been a quite a while since we saw Priyanka Chopra shining on big screen in Bollywood. While the actress is currently busy in Hollywood with her TV series Quantico season 2 and Baywatch, she’s yet to sign any B town project. Just while we were wondering when will we see her in a movie here, we got a hold of this news. There is some good news for all the PeeCee fans as you will soon see her doing a cameo in her first Marathi production Ventilator which will hit the screens on November 4.

Ventilator is all set to premiere at the ongoing MAMI film festival in Mumbai and will also join other movies at 55th New York film festival. Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra who has been handling all the production work on actress’s behalf said, “We have received a letter for the film festival authorities though it is little premature to talk about it. Priyanka wants to do full justice with it which is why she is planning to release her production in the international pockets as well.” So is the actress acting in it and the proud mother says, “She would be playing a very interesting cameo in the film.” 

So why did Priyanka chose a Marathi movie instead of producing something in Bollywood itself? According to her mother, PC always had an affinity towards the Marathi culture from the time she played a role of Marathi girl in Shahid Kapoor’s Kaminey. Post this, she also played Kashibai in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Bajirao Mastani.” She has a distinct connect with the Maharashtrian culture and it’s audiences. This Marathi film will further build up her bonding with the people here, her mother adds.”

de PeeCee take this project? Was the plot that she found interesting and Mrs Chopra says, “Our film highlights the importance of Marathi values. When the director Rajesh Mhapuskar narrated the story to us, we decided to go ahead with it for our production debut.The fact that Zee decided to step onboard after seeing it, gave a further edge to it.”

Priyanka is now looking for interesting collaborations for her productions. “She’s monitoring her productions round the clock ensuring that everything is working according to plans. says this doting mother.”
We earlier told you that Ashutosh Gowariker who plays the lead in the movie will be essaying the role of director in it. So we assume that Priyanka’s cameo too will drive the inspiration from her real life.She too might play an actress in the movie.”
