We were the ones to tell you that Kangana Ranaut has already started shooting for her next movie titled Simran. The actress is currently in Atlanta.
While there were many speculations surrounding the plot of this movie, they all can now be put to rest. BollywoodLife has got hold of the movie’s plot and from what we hear, it is going to be a yet another milestone in Kangana’s career. The actress who is riding high onthe success of her movies like Queen and Tanu Weds Manu returns has become extremely choosy with her movie’s choices and if she has given her nod to this Hansal Mehta project, there might be some strong reason behind it.
Kangana is once again set to repeat her acting prowess with Simran by playing the unconventional character of Prafull Patel, a 30-year old divorcee. She will be shown dealing with issues faced by divorcees. In today’s time when the divorce rates are so high and there is so much stigma attached to divorced women, it was brave on the actress’s part to take up this offer. Earlier we even reported that the actress was attending workshops to prep herself for this role. Sources suggest, “Kangana is a known perfectionist and hence she is preparing intensively for her character. This is the first time when she will essay such a role and she wants to take no chances with it.”
Speaking about her experience with Hansal so far, Kangana while talking to PTI said, “Hansal is one of the most incredible and genuine talents that we have today. His Aligarh has by far been the best film India has seen in last 10 years and apart from being talented, he is a wonderful person. The best part about him… After Anurag Basu, he is one director who does not give you a full-fledged script in hand. He wont give you dialogues. Every day is a new day with him. He leaves it to the environment to inspire him, to his surroundings to tell him what scene he should shoot… He is a person who lives life with a lot of consciousness. I am a huge fan of him.”
Kangana has already finished the shooting of her next movie Rangoon which is a war time story based during World War II. The movie will give you a Casablanca feel because it is a love story set during the war. In fact, it is a triangular love story between Shahid Kapoor, Kangana and Saif Ali Khan
