Priyanka Chopra rubs shoulders with Oprah Winfrey and Jennifer Lopez in Variety’s Power of Women Impact report

Variety released a list of Power of Women L.A. Impact Report where Priyanka Chopra alongwith Hollywood big stars like Jennifer Lopez, Oprah Winfrey have been featured.

We gotta come up with a better phrase to state how Priyanka Chopra continues to add new feathers of achievements on her fancy hat. Ever since Hollywood hasaccepted our desi gal as one of the most liked celebrities, there has been no stopping her. In fact, she continues to reign Hollywood with their panache and her awesomeness. And here’s another accolade that the actress has achieved. Of course, with the kind of impact the diva has across the globe, we can imagine that it would be quite unfair to not have her in this list. Probably that’s something even Variety saw as they have added her name in their list of Power if Women impact report, released recently! That itself is a big achievement to be featured on such a celebrated magazine. However, what’s even more kickass is how her name has been placed alongside Hollywood hot stuff Jennifer Lopez and Oprah Winfrey!
Variety released a list of Power of Women L.A. Impact Report, where our desi gal has found a nice comfortable spot! Hollywood big stars like Jennifer Lopez, Oprah Winfrey, Naketha Mattocks (Vice President, Original Movies, Disney Channel) and Deborah Barak (President, Business Operations, CBS Entertainment, CBS Television Studios and CBS News) have also feature on this list. Isn’t that crazy awesome? The report further stated, “Beyond her spy series, Chopra in the past year has voiced Kaa in Disney’s Jungle Book and also toplined Bollywood hit Bajirao Mastani for director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She also wrapped production on the Baywatch movie in April. Next up for Chopra is season two of Quantico, which she reports will be “a little darker, slower.” Now that’s totally bitchin’, we’d say. There are steps of success she keeps climbing relentlessly and on her way are so many add on achievements that one can only dream of.
With so much to celebrate, does Priyanka do the deed of partying? That’s a rarity as we’ve barely seen her take on the party hat and chill out. The actress has literally kept herself super busy and hard to connect with. It’s always work work work for busy PeeCee. We just wish she takes some time off and relaxes. Oh and of course, reveals her next Bollywood and Hollywood project. Quan2co has already kickstarted and episodes of the same have been aired every weekend. Although this season has a little less hype as compared to the previous one but hey, that could just be for the time being. It’ll soon pick up as she has promised herself that there’s a lot more drama and action to blow our minds.
There’s never a single day Priyanka misses on making sure she’s on the news. Be it Quantico or her fiery statements, the actress always stays and slays on the news. In fact, recently she got involved in a rather bitter end of the attention with Twitterati firing hate comments for her CondeNast Traveller cover which they found very racist and demeaning. Don’t celebs always face the positives and backlash of fans? Similar thing seemed to have happened with the actress. However, the magazine soon clarified the claims of people calling the cover racist and stated, “At Conde Nast Traveller, we believe that the opening up of borders and the breaking down of walls can help us discover the world, and open up our minds and hearts. So, when we had actress Priyanka Chopra wear a T-shirt we created on the cover of our 6th anniversary issue, we had a point to make. And it’s not about privilege. Or fashion. It’s about how our labelling of people as immigrants, refugees and outsiders is creating a culture of xenophobia. We are allowing thousands of innocent people who are forced to cross borders due to unimaginable terror and atrocities to be treated without humanity and empathy. It’s about how we are allowing some powerful leaders to build barriers that make it more difficult for bright, motivated and hardworking people to see more of the world, learn from it and make it better for us all.”
