Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the news with fans. “#Padmavati stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor… Filming begins shortly… All set for a 2017 release,” he tweeted. Also, Viacom 18 Motion Pictures has officially announced its association with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the upcoming magnum opus, Padmavati. The film starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, will soon go on floors and is set for a 2017 release.

Phew! Thank God that the news is official now. Because ever since Sanjay Leela Bhansali announced Padmavati, there have been a lot of hurdles thAT he has been facing in terms of the cast of the film. Especially Ranveer Singh, Bhansali’s blue-eyed boy had been having a lot of issues with the second lead actor Shahid Kapoor and he even demanded that his role should be meatier than Shahid’s in the film. Moreover, Mr Singh even refused to share the space with Sasha on the movie poster of Padmavati and SLB was left with no other option than to decide to come up with three different posters for the film.
