NOT Alia Bhatt, Jhanvi Kapoor to romance Varun Dhawan in Shiddat?

If what reports suggest is true, Jhanvi Kapoor will be seen romancing Varun Dhawan in Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala's next joint production Shiddat. We hope Alia Bhatt is ok with this newbie replacing her.

Good news for the ones who are waiting to see Sridevi’s elder daughter Jhanvi Kapoor on big screen. If what reports suggests are true then this star kid might soon make her Bollywood debut in a Varun Dhawan starrer movie Shiddat. The movie is directed by 2 States director, Abhishek Varman and produced by Varun’s mentor, Karan Johar. Yes this is the same movie which was earlier in Alia Bhatt’s kitty but now seems like Jhanvi will be soon replacing this Highway star for unknown reasons.
Jhanvi who is quite popular on social media has studied at at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute and the fact that she comes from a very influential Bollywood family, all hint that her launch pad will be something big and grand. According to reports by a leading web portal, Jhanvi is in talks with the maker for this project besides Varun Dhawan. The movie which will go on floors in mid 2017, is yet to have an official announcement when it comes to their lead casting.
She was also a contender to star in Tiger Shroff’s next Student of the Year 2. Initially the movie also had Arjun Kapoor in it but the actor later opted out since he felt Varun’s role was much better and he might get overshadowed. If all goes well, we might even see Madhuri Dixit Nene playing the role of Jhanvi’s mother in this same movie. Apart from the movie’s lead cast, there are many changes that this movie underwent right from it’s title. It was earlier titled as Kalank which was later changed to Shiddat.
Jhanvi was earlier news for signing Ok Kanmani besides Dulqueer Salman but Sridevi had denied the reports then. Seems like the next year we’ll see launch of many star kids including Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara Ali Khan, Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan and Shahid Kapoor’s little brother Ishaan Khattar.
Though we are still unsure whether she has indeed signed this project, we can be sure of one thing. The actress will be definitely launched by Karan’s Dharma Production since he is known to bring fresh talent in the industry.
