Keerthy Suresh to play the female lead in Suriya's next
Keerthy Suresh
is officially the most popular choice in the Tamil Industry. Within 15
months, she has carved a name for herself and has already worked with
the whos who of Kollywood. Now the latest update states that Keerthy
Suresh will romance Suriya in his next directed by Vignesh Shivan. There
were reports earlier that stated the director might rope in his
rumoured girlfriend Nayanthara as
the female lead. We all know that Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan are
rumoured to be dating. So she probably would have been on obvious
choice, more so because their last film was a hit. They both won SIIMA
Awards for the film. But it turns out Vignesh has chosen Keerthy over
her for his next movie. What a birthday gift for the actress who has
turned 24 today. She has too many reason to celebrate now – a role in
Suriya’s next and Remo’s success.
It’s not even been 2 years and the actress has already become a force to reckon with. Although her first movie Idhu Enna Maayam failed at the box office, Keerthy got noticed for a credible performance. post which Rajini Murugan opposite Sivakarthikeyan became a commercial success. That movie changed the game for this actress. She went on to be part of Dhanush’s project Thodari which also got her immense praise for a performance. Then there is Remo, which obviously has created a storm at the BO. She is also part of Vijay’s next – Bhairavaa. And now she will romance Suriya. Well, clearly the actress’s soaring popularity has won her top projects. Will she soon prove to be a threat to her contemporaries? Because she is currently the first choice for all the latest projects. This Suriya-Keerthy project will go on floors next week. The music will be composed by Anirudh Ravichandran of Remo fame. Suriya will join the team in November once he wraps up Singham 3.
Keerthy Suresh’s latest release Remo has turned out to be a super duper hit. The movie has already crossed Rs 50 crore mark. For the past two weekends it has remained at the no1 position at the Chennai BO. The movie is about a guy who disguises himself into a nurse just to be close to the woman he likes. While Sivakarthikeyan’s performance opened to rave reviews, even Keerthy Suresh was praised for her part in the film. It now seems that Siva-Keerthy are the new hit pair considering they have had two back-to-back hits. Anyway, here’s to a great birthday, even better than the last one.
