Naam Shabana new poster: Taapsee Pannu, Manoj Bajpayee, Prithviraj’s espionage thriller looks captivating
The new poster of Taapsee Pannu's Naam Shabana doesn't feature Akshay Kumar.
Taapsee Pannu is definitely the next big thing in Bollywood. After the raving success of Pink, she has movies like Runningshaadi.com, The Ghazi Attack, and most importantly Naam Shabana in the pipeline. Official poster of Naam Shabana
has been released, and it looks captivating. The espionage
thriller also features critically acclaimed actor Manoj Bajpayee and
southern star Prithviraj in pivotal roles. The movie is written by
Neeraj Pandey and directed by Shivam Nair and will release on March 31,
this year.
A spin off/prequel to the hit 2015 film Baby, the movie also stars Akshay Kumar in a key role. Though he is missing from this poster, many captivating scenes featuring Taapsee are sure to get your excitement piqued. The film has been shot in India and Malaysia. Akshay and Taapsee shot across famous locations of Kuala Lumpur, including the City Centre and close to the Petronas Towers.
One of the best things about Baby was Taapsee Pannu’s fight sequence with Sushant Singh in an hotel room. My heart was in my mouth, when their fight began. The whole sequence was well choreographed, well acted, and managed to keep audiences at the edge of the seat. Taapsee deserves a special round of applause, coz not many Bollywood actresses could have pulled it off with such utter conviction.
“Shabana reminds me of a quote,”The only time a woman is helpless is when her nail polish is drying!””” Akshay captioned the poster on Twitter.
It is really impressive to see that the potential of that minor, but important, character in Baby was noticed and now there is a whole film about her. Our patriarchal society could use such strong women-centric movies.
Earlier in November 2016, Akshay had announced the release date of the film on Twitter and shared the film’s first look, in which Taapsee was seen donning an Indian attire and Akshay’s reflection could be seen in the backdrop. “Get ready to see the awesomeness of Taapsee in ‘Naam Shabana’ on 31st March, 2017,” Akshay captioned the first look.
Eagerly waiting for the trailer of Naam Shabana.
