No one knew anyone with this name a few years ago, but today he is everywhere – be it our TV screens, cinema halls or hoardings. People say he laughed his way through people’s hearts, which is true, but what is also noteworthy is his starry connection.

He rose to fame with Colors’ show ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’, where he first got in touch with all the celebrities. He surely was the winner of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge and Comedy Circus but it was only after Comedy Nights that he got recognition in the industry. Many comedians and actors have been in his shoes earlier, but no one could reach the heights he has. He surely has struck the right chord with all the A-listers. He might have made enemies in the comedy business but as far as Bollywood is concerned, he has only made friends and fans.

Salman Khan’s latest stint on Kapil’s show explains his starry connection even better. Respecting his long association with Colors, Salman had gone on Kapil’s rival show, Comedy Nights Live to promote Sultan. But later he also made an appearance with Anushka Sharma on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show.’ The question is what brought about Salman’s change of heart? Well, this couldn’t be just to get mileage for his film, after all a Salman Khan film doesn’t need promotion. It certainly shows the kind of relation he shares with Kapil. And this relation goes back to the Comedy Nights days. Earlier when his set had caught fire, it was Salman who had given a portion of his Big Boss set to Kapil.

Kapil has interviewed everyone from Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone to Priyanka Chopra. All this not only shows that he is a bankable person, but it also stands as a testament of the love he commands in the industry.
