We are as shocked as you are. Read on to get this latest update…

It’s known to all that Akshay Kumar is currently shooting for Jolly LLB 2 in Lucknow. His pictures from the set keep making its way to the internet where one also got to see his new look, that of a judge in the film. Yea! He’s replaced Arshad Warsi in this one. However, this latest revelation has shocked us to another level now. So according to a Mumbai Mirror report, AK is getting paid a whopping fee of Rs 1 crore per day for Jolly LLB 2. That’s right! Can you believe it?

The Khiladi Kumar is charging an astronomical fee of Rs 1 crore a day. So depending on the number of days the film takes to complete the shoot, Akshay will get his fee. Generally Akshay takes 40-45 days to complete a film, but production delays do increase the number of days. Now if at all that happens, Akshay could end up being made more than Rs 50 crore for the film which explains why the producers are now in a hurry to wrap schedules.
We all know that every Bollywood actor is paid a different sum as fees for their work on any film. Superstars like Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar are mind boggling fees for each movie they do. Also lately, actors have taken up the profit-sharing module to make some extra money at the end of the movie. But Akshay’s deal with the makers of Jolly LLB 2 has literally left us shell shocked.
Not to forget, Arshad had recently expressed his frustration about being replaced by Akshay in Jolly LLB 2. He had said, “I am not doing it (Jolly LLB 2). Akshay is doing it. I was supposed to do it, but Fox Star Studios needed a bigger star, so they chose Akshay. It makes it easier for marketing, it makes it easier to have a hit. With me, you (the filmmakers) have to make a good film, so that is the problem. You can make money with me only if it’s a very good film. If you have a bigger star, then even if the film is not that good, you still manage to cover the money so risk factor from the producer’s point of view is less.”
However, Akshay was not quite pleased with this statement given by Arshad. He had reacted stating,  “I don’t have anything to say (on Arshad’s comment). Talk to producer. It is the call (decision) of producer. I did Welcome and not Welcome Back, but I did not feel bad. It was my franchise so should I feel bad?”
