Saif Ali Khan warns Sara Ali Khan to not get carried away with the politics of Bollywood

While everyone’s busy placing their bets on when will Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan make her Bollywood debut. The doting daddy only hopes she becomes an artist more than anything else. Yes! In his latest interaction with Hindustan Times, Saif had the wisest advice for Sara before she gets into the mad race as he said,  “As a father, you wish for a nice, stable life(for your daughter) with a good guy, a nice cottage with a white picket fence, Christmas parties with and all that. But that’s a fairytale, it doesn’t exist. The reality is that you should be sufficient and not depend on anybody for anything in life. A good job is the only thing that can give you that, and this is one such job. So yes, there are ups and downs  and you can get carried away but that depends on your personality. There are actors who keep their heads down, work, lead wonderful lives, travel the world, read books, watch films have fun and talk with people. My only advice is, “Don’t get carried away with the politics of it and stick to the artistic parts of it, because it is an artistic profession at its core. So be an artist.” Such a sorted reply that be! Best. Dad. EVER!
This reminds us how even in of his earlier interviews Saif had stressed on the fact how he’s more like a friend to Sara than a strict father. He said, “I am very excited. I have a wonderful relationship with her, wherein I am like a guide, a friend and a philosopher. But we discuss lots of things. We went on a holiday to Italy, and spoke about art, life, and recently, about films as well. I’ve given her so much advice. I said, ‘Write them down and treat them like the Ten Commandments. It’s everything I have learnt. And your mother (Amrita Singh) also taught me so much when I first came to Mumbai’.”
While talks suggest Karan Johar is planning to launch Sara Ali Khan opposite Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan. What do you have to say about Saif’s advice? Tell us in the comments below and keep watching this space for more updates.
