Ajay Devgn slams Karan Johar for his stand on the Pakistani artistes ban – read details
Ajay Devgn's Shivaay is releasing
alongside Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. And the clash is touted as
one of the biggest in the industry.
Ajay Devgn whose upcoming big budget directorial Shivaay is up for release this Diwali October 28 was asked when Pakistani artistes
are standing by their nation and not condemning the terror attacks on
India, why such hypocrisy of Indian celebs like Karan Johar, whose film
is coming up, who is only looking it commercially? Ajay Devgn replied ,
“I don’t think they realise right now what the situatin is, how deep and
grave the situation is, so I think they would take time to understand
because some think which hits you suddenly, I think you take time to
understand and get out of it. Lot of people, not the whole industry is
the way you are saying, there are some people and out of those some
people also I’ve seen that in arguments have changed their stance.”

He was also asked about the ban of Indian films in Pakistan and if
his film will lose money due to that. He responded, “sir lekin paise se
pehle desh aata hai na, desh doob gaya toh fir paise se kya karenge?” He
was then proded that Salman Khan, Karan Johar and others in directly
saying the otherwise, to which Ajay Devgn replied, “I really don’t know
what situations they(Salman Khan and Karan Johar) are in, this is my
stand and I can talk about my stand and anyway, I don’t think our
industry is united in any which way.”
In this tell all interview Ajay Devgn didn’t mince his words and
spoke his heart out. He has made it clear where his loyalty stands. On
the work front, his film Shivaay is releasing alongside Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. And
the clash is touted as one of the biggest in the industry. But looks
like right now it’s Karan Johar who may suffer as various political
parties has asked for ban on his film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil as that features Fawad Khan in a supporting role.
