NYFW17. Dressed in a navy blue trench dress from Kors’ Spring 2017
collection, pairing it with a high neck white top, she looked chic and
her open, side parted hair added grace to her look. After receiving flak
for her fashion sense at several international outings in the past,
looks like she finally got the groove and slayed it with her elegance,
looking stunningly beautiful while doing so. Deepika was clicked with
several fashionistas of the west like Emily Ratajkowski, Jourdan Dunn
and Hikari Mori.
On the work front, just last month Deepika Padukone made her big Hollywood debut in Vin Diesel’s xXx: Return Of Xander Cage. The film which underperformed at the US box office is a worldwide hit with record breaking business at China box office. As far as Bollywood is concerned, after a no show in 2016, she’ll be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmavati. The film is news lately for running into controversy with Rajput Karni Sena who created ruckus on the sets constructed in Rajasthan and assaulted the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film also stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.

There are also strong reports of Deepika Padukone signing another international film, this time and Indo-China love story which will also star Mermaid fame Chinese actor, Deng Chao, as per Filmfare. Talking about the film, its director Siddharth Anand had said to a tabloid, “Yes, it’s a cross-cultural romance set in Beijing. I’m excited to explore and showcase another culture through this film. Our Chinese producers have suggested Deng Chao’s name but we will take a final call when I visit China.” He also revealed that the film will have an A-list actress who also has an international presence and looks like Deepika Padukone has made the cut.
Well after her successful debut with xXx: Return Of Xander Cage and her various international outings like the one in NYFW17, she, slowly and steadily is on course for global dominations.
