Deepika Padukone gave a look test for Shah Rukh Khan’s next?
Deepika Padukone gave a look test again and this time, it's for a Shah Rukh Khan film.
Shah Rukh Khan has already started talking about his film with Aanand L Rai, where
he will be seen as a dwarf. He even explained why it shouldn’t be
compared with Kamal Haasan’s character in Appu Raja. All this while,
what we heard about his ladylove in the film is all rumours. From Deepika Padukone to Katrina Kaif,
everyone is supposedly considered for the film and now we hear that the
Padmavati actress has already given a look test for the film, as per
Mid-Day.
Many months back when the news of Parineeti Chopra and Deepika doing the film was abound, we had an EXCLUSIVE chat with the director. Rai had said then, “These speculations are happening because of me. I am not reaching the end point of my script and taking a call. I take the blame that these speculations are happening because of my laziness. We haven’t reached a conclusion as to who would be the actress in the film. Give me little more time, say couple of weeks, I will be able to speak little more on it.” Later we heard that when Rai finalised Katrina for the role, a miffed Deepika called him up to say why wasn’t she asked again. There were also reports that the Baar Baar Dekho actress threatened to quit the film if DP gets signed for it too. Apparently, it’s a two heroine project. With so much already behind us, the news of the look test is making us very curious about this film to know who eventually bags this prestigious SRK project.
As for the film, which will be one of the most ambitious ones in Bollywood, the Raees actor told PTI, “My look is very different from Kamal Hassan’s in Appu Raja. We have done the test, we are through with the trailers. We will be releasing it (look) properly. It’s important that the audience accepts our effort. I think we will be begin (prep) work in a day or two. I think we will start shooting from March 21 and it will go on for five-six months or maybe take some more time. We are still working on the title. It’s (Bandhua) the name of some other film. But by March 21 we should start working or maybe 10-15 days here and there as I have to finish.”
