It’s not easy having two hot ladies who also happen
to be Bollywood’s top actresses under one roof and more so when the two
share a not so pleasant past. So all eyes were on Deepika Padukone and
Katrina Kaif when they decided to attend Shahid Kapoor’s pre-birthday
bash in Juhu. Amongst so many stars we bet
the two ladies managed to find their own comfort space and steer clear
of each other, but we at BollywoodLife know exactly what transpired
between Katrina and Deepika when the two came together last night. So
our source who was also present at this party revealed that Deepika
walked into the venue ahead of Katrina. And it seems that on seeing
Katrina enter the party, Deepika who was stationed at the bar counter
just walked away and mingled with the celebrities on the other side.
Clearly Ms Padukone was in no mood for pleasantries. And Katrina too did
not really make any special attempt to bond with her ex-boyfriend
Ranbir Kapoor’s ex.
For those of you who do not know, Deepika had hinted that Katrina was responsible for her split with RK Jr. The two ladies have never really claimed to be friends. And even though Deepika does continue to be in amicable terms with Ranbir and has worked with him in a couple of films after their much hyped breakup, she has always maintained a distance from Katrina. The two ladies also share quite a cold vibe on work front. Many a times they have been in the running for the same movies. Like very recently buzz was that Katrina was finalised to be a part of Aanand L Rai’s film with Shah Rukh Khan. While there was no confirmation from the makers of this dwarf film, recently reports were doing rounds that Deepika has managed to oust Katrina and bag the project.
That’s not all, rumours were also doing rounds that Deepika Padukone had replaced Katrina Kaif as the brand ambassador of a popular cosmetic brand. It was said that Deepika was eyeing for an international platform that this brand has provided to other heroines like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor and Freida Pinto. However, some also suggested that Katrina’s contract with the brand had come to an end and hence Deepika was being considered.
Either ways looks like Deepika and Katrina will continue to share icy cold vibes and Shahid’s birthday bash was enough proof. We don’t know if Ranbir is to blamed or then their professional rivalry.
