Deepika Padukone held a small screening of her Hollywood project xXx: The Retunr of Xander Cage's trailer. It will officially air on 16th October.

Deepika Padukone can official be the endorser for the colour black. Every now and then, we see her sport the solid shade. Now we get it that it’s for her upcoming Hollywood project xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, but we’re quite tired of it. Okay, before we go on about xXx: The Return of Xander Cage and her Serena Unger avatar, let us take you down the memory lane. From the beginning of this year itself, we saw her take over the black hued outfit’s section. Be it on the sets of the film where she sizzled next to Vin Diesel or kicked some butt with Ruby Rose, it was always a black ensemble that she donned. We can pretty much tell from the stills from the sets that Deepika’s character is in love with the colour itself and will be donning the same throughout the film. Perhaps that’s why she is even promoting the film using the same logic. In Mumbai, DP held a trailer screening where exclusive media buffs were asked to watch. We at BollywoodLife too got the opportunity to be a part of it. For the same, the actress again, decided to spill some black magic as she wore this H&M and Zara ensemble. The diva further added black Louboutin pumps to accentuate the darkness of her character.
We gotta admit that initially we were a little mistaken by the outfit to be that of a gym look. Sorry about that Dippy! However, soon we realised that the outfit was for the promotional event and not a workout ensemble. Now wouldn’t you too be guessing it to be a gym outfit considering how the pants are slightly baggy and it’s a crop top that’s perfect for a workout regime? Oh oh and not to forget the jacket which is as good as a sweatshirt. Of course, the oversized Lennon shades, the necklace and the pumps hinted out that perhaps it wasn’t really a workout outfit. We’d like to apologise Miss Padukone for that but if you think about it, we’re not really at fault for wondering here! Anyway, let’s talk about the trailer which our boss watched and the impression it left him with. Deepika Padukone‘s role in the film is not just being a groupie for Vin Diesel as he charades out kicking butts but she too has a strong arc of her own. There are scenes in the trailer where she is doing some heavy duty action sequences. Her entry scene itself in the trailer is a proof of the same – she is shown total bad-ass in that black leather jacket and boots, and her attitude gives an impression that she means business. Perhaps that’s why the love for black?

The trailer will be out on Sunday i.e. 16th October on Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss season 10. The actress herself will be the first guest of the house and will be airing the trailer in the show. Now earlier she did reveal how she wished her xXx co-star Vin Diesel too were present with her on the show. She told, “I think I would like the entire cast of xXx in the Bigg Boss house because I think we had so much fun while making this movie. Four months in Toronto, we had such an amazing time and I wish that all of us could go into the house and relive the entire experience again.” Miss Padukone also gave a bit of an advice to the contestants of this season as she said, “One of the things that I have learnt through all the films that I have made and especially xXx is to enjoy the experience. Seeing the Bigg Boss concept, I know that sometimes there are extremely challenging situations but I think it is important to stay focused and most importantly make friends and enjoy the experience while you are there.”
Already excitement about the fact that television’s favourite controversial show is making a return and to top it all, the fact that Deepika Padukone will be in the show’s first episode that too to release the trailer of her Hollywood film has left us dizzy in anticipation!
