Deepika Padukone may have a string of hits in terms of her film career but with respect to fashion, there have been more flops than what red carpet can consume! It’s a fact that we’ve established by now that DP is talent af but only in terms of her performance in the field of acting. If we do a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analysis of the actress, fashion falls in both, weakness and threats as her game is not the strongest and it definitely adds more threat to her image.
The reason why we’ve suddenly woken up from our slumber to write this piece is because it really feels like it’s high time we did this (even though it has only been two months). The diva started off the year with some nice good looking outfits. We’re guessing getting Elizabeth Saltzman onboard to style her Hollywood promotional outings was a good choice. But guess even that didn’t last long as again, we’ve been disappointed by her. Be it the outfits or the hair or the makeup, every time she steps out, there’s something missing. Not just us but even fans are mighty upset with the actress and especially her stylist. Therefore, we’ve compiled a set of pics and rated them. Oh don’t worry, we have a conclusion right after we’re done rating them.

Style 1: Outfit: Givenchy Bomber jacket Boots: Stuart Weitzman

Our verdict: It’s super cute. Totally a hit! The ‘love’ bomber jacket speaks what we feel for it. The way it has been styled is very chic.
Style 2: Outfit: Naeem Khan gown

This gown has spoken for the entire gold merchant community, ‘all that glitters doesn’t always catch the eye!’ Not good at all! Plus, the plunging neckline is extremely unflattering.
Style 3: Outfit: Gucci pyjama set Pumps: Christian Louboutin

Not working with us. This pyjama set is a famous trend in China but can it take centrestage here in India? As of now, no. Pumps with the pyjama is the worst way one could style this look.
Style 4: Outfit: Ralph Lauren metallic jacket Boots: Givenchy Sunglasses: Fendi

Now that’s a kickass airport look. There’s nothing to complain here. It’s perfection!
Style 5: Outfit: Monique Lhuillier

The only problem about this look is it has been done before. Be it the hair or makeup or the most striking gown, the entire look has been repeated. The only thing different is the extra black long train and of course. She could’ve tried something original for her big Oscar’s 2017 after party look.
Style 6: Outfit: Duro Olowu Heels: Gucci

Love the heels but what’s up with the dress? It looks like a rich person’s night dress. Could’ve opted for different pair heels since the outfit itself is so loud.
Style 7: Outfit: Chanel jacket

Totally digging the metallic blue jacket but someone forgot to comb their hair. Anyway, the whole sporty look is real fresh! She should do this more often.

This look scores a hundred on our marksheet! There’s absolutely nothing we’d want to change here.

Erm, woke up late for the flight, DP? You could’ve loosened the robe if not the satin PJs.

So Deepika forgot that it was Shahid’s birthday and she thought, ‘why not wrap myself up instead. I mean, I am my parents’ gift.’ Next thing we know, she walked in looking like this.

It’s a lovely dress minus the long delicate jacket. We would’ve loved for a different hairdo but well, you don’t get everything in life, right?
Style 13: Outfit: Michael Kors

Dressed in Michael Kors from top to bottom, Deepika couldn’t have asked for a better look! This made us feel so refreshed that we can’t express in words.

Can’t complain here. She looks like a vision in blue. Quite possibly driving our own blue vibes with her lovely ensemble, especially the shoes. Now that’s something we’d love to steal.
Style 15: Outfit: Stella McCartney

It’s a good look but there could’ve been more improvements in terms of picking another outfit altogether. The red is good but the outfit doesn’t really flatter her.
Result: Deepika Padukone can totally rock airport outings with minimal mistakes. She may need a little help when making appearances at promotional events but she certainly needs a LOT of help in terms of important events and red carpets! Especially red carpets.
