seems to have taken some inspiration from Ranveer Singh to promote her
upcoming film, Phillauri! The diva was recently spotted at Mumbai airport along with her co-star Diljit Dosanjh.
Throughout the time the paparazzi clicked her, she was constantly
showing off her Phillauri shoes! Oh yes, the actress printed her film’s
name on her blingy shoes with a view to promote the film. As soon as we
saw her flaunting her cool blingy shoes, we couldn’t help but go back in
time. In 2015, actor Ranveer Singh
had done a similar way of promotion where he printed his shirt with
Peshwa Bajirao on it. Some may say the look was very marketing-friendly.
Anyway, so in 2015, Singh was spotted donning Bajirao tees not just at
the airport but at events too. Obviously, as the paparazzi clicked him,
he further went on to flaunt his shirt and well, him!
Watching the diva at the airport felt like a trip down the memory lane. Keeping the entire ensemble black, Anushka just let her shoes do the talking. While it was a good outing, can’t say we were big fans of her flimsy jacket. Seemed too apt for a rainy day. Nevertheless, she made up for it with her cool look and yes, the shoes! We also liked her shades for it completed the look to perfection. Having said that, it seemed apt to bring not just Anushka’s look but even Ranveer’s from 2015. So scroll away and check it out.
Set to release this week, Phillauri also stars Suraj Sharma in a pivotal role. The movie has a quirky theme of a human marrying a ghost. Of course there’s a reason why the ghost is still lurking around. While initially the reason for the ghost to be held back seems to be the human’s fault but turns out there’s a bigger purpose for her staying back. Now to know more, you’ll probably have to watch the movie as we too are just as clueless. The plotline seems very similar to Tim Burton’s movie that starred Helena Bohem Carter, Johnny Depp and Emily Watson. Lets’ hope it’s not another copy of a Hollywood film.
